Our oldest daughter and her cousin are 6 months apart, yet also very much more apart. Her cousin is growing up in mainstream modern society, and for Christmas she eagerly received a technological device which with she can play games and do things. She spent half of the evening playing with it. My daughter, on the other hand, has been exposed to another kind of society, on Saint Steven she was given a used doll and played with her siblings for a long time.
Both girls are 10 years old, but their appearance and their play is much more apart. It is not about bragging about our way of doing things, yet it is about discerning the differences between two ways of living, that many times yield opposite results.
